The English Comedy Club and the American Theatre Company
are delighted that their joint production of the musical Oliver! proved to be such a major success. All 5 performances (on 19-22 January 2006) were completely sold out.
Building on her major success with Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat staged in Auderghem in November 2004, Director Kathy Lemerle brought together the same production team for her 2006 extravaganza - Oliver!
A complete sell out !
Audiences, sponsors and indeed the cast and crew have all expressed their delight with the high standards achieved in this production - ranging from the quality of singing and acting, to the musical delights of the orchestra, the colourful costumes and convincing set design. We are simply delighted by the reactions that are still pouring in . . . the most common of which is - Great show - What's next ?
The short answer is we don't know yet - but you can be sure that we really do want to do another - after a little rest and recreation that is!.

Kathy Lemerle - The Director
Kathy comes originally from a little town called Angola in New York State. Since moving to Brussels in 1987, she has gathered loads of experience in school productions and in Brussels amateur theatre groups both on stage and, off. From designing and making costumes for various shows to directing Joseph, Kismet and Rock Whittington for BLOC, from choreographing belly dancers to playing the Queen in the Jarrett School's ballet production of The Sleeping Beauty, Kathy has been around the stage more than once. Her sense of what it takes to turn a show into a real “spectacle” guarantees that this production of Oliver! will be something to remember.
